Sin City Glass Art
The idea for Sin City Glass was born in Amsterdam, in a conversation between several friends, including a talented local tattoo artist , and a glass artist from Las Vegas.
After collaborating on several projects, it was clear that the new technique of Vitri-Fusaille was a perfect medium to display the beauty of Tattoo Art, Pin -Up Art, Grafitti and Airbrush Art, because there are none of the limitations associated with traditional stained glass.
Vitri- Fusaille is the process of cutting and piecing together the colored and clear glass as in a traditional stained glass window, but instead of using metal such as lead, brass or zinc to hold the glass together, the panel is placed in a kiln and the pieces are fused together as one solid plate of glass.
There are several stages of lining and shading the details into the glass, each requiring a separate process of heating and cooling of between 8-12 hours until the piece is finished.
